Your Dermal Filler Procedure

A typical treatment session with JUVÉDERM is quick, typically requiring less than 30 minutes. Patients are able to return to their normal activities immediately, which makes these products popular options for people who would rather avoid the downtime required of surgery.

During the procedure, Dr. Ukani cleans and marks the areas of the face to be treated. He then uses a fine needle to administer the product, which contains lidocaine to maximize patient comfort. Once the injections are completed, you may be given ice or a cold compress to reduce swelling. Your results are visible immediately, and you may return to work or other daily activities right away.

In some cases, JUVÉDERM may be administered in conjunction with BOTOX COSMETIC® for a more comprehensive improvement. Some patients with more advanced signs of aging may benefit more from a facial plastic surgery procedure such as facelift surgery. Your Recovery

Most people tolerate JUVÉDERM well, but it may produce minor and temporary side effects including bruising and redness around the injection site. However, these strictly cosmetic effects can usually be covered with makeup, do not require any downtime or activity restrictions, and generally fade quickly.

The results of a single Vancouver-area JUVÉDERM or JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA treatment by Dr. Ukani can last for up to 1 year, although this timeline may vary somewhat depending on the patient. Cheek enhancement results with JUVÉDERM VOLUMA may last up to 2 years. You may return to the office for touch-up treatments when you begin to notice your symptoms reappearing.
